ANDREA DALY is a composer, songwriter and singer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her multi-genre output covers pop, soul, classical, and musical theatre.
Andrea is the 2016 recipient of The ASCAP Foundation Harold Arlen Musical Theater Award, and an alumna of the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project workshop in Chicago (2012), the Goodspeed Musicals Writers’ Colony in Connecticut (2014), the NAMT Festival of New Musicals (2015), the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in L.A. (2016) and the ASCAP Workshop in New York (2016), with mentors and panelists including Stephen Schwartz, Dick Scanlon, Irene Mecchi, Craig Carnelia, Andrew Lippa, and Lari White. Her work is published by Warner/Chappell Music.
Andrea received a PhD in Composition from Stony Brook University in New York, where she was awarded its prestigious Graduate Council Fellowship, the Ackerman Prize in Music, and the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She received her B.A. in Music from Kenyon College in Ohio, along with the David B. Perry Prize in Music, and her department’s Highest Honors.
A Michigan native, Andrea has lived and taught elementary school in southern France, and backpacked or traveled in Turkey, China, Peru, Denmark, Japan, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Monaco, Honduras, Belize, England, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, St. Maarten, Ireland, the Czech Republic, and Fiji.
